Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mazedna platform, including the website at mazedna.com and the Mazedna mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account or placing a bid, you agree to these Terms and to the Fair-Play Policy.

1. Eligibility and verification

The Platform is for users aged 18 and over. Bidding and listing require completed identity verification (KYC). You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

2. Bidding and buying

Every bid is a binding commitment to buy if you win. When you bid, the amount plus the buyer fee is held from your wallet; when you win or use Buy Now, that held amount converts to escrow until you confirm delivery. Accepted offers and runner-up offers must be settled from your wallet within 3 days. Failing to settle exposes you to Fair-Play penalties, up to account blocking.

3. Selling and shipping

Sellers must describe items accurately with genuine photos, and ship within the stated window with a tracking number. Funds are released to the seller when the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 7 days after payment if no dispute is open. Listing illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods is prohibited.

4. Wallet and fees

Payments run through the Mazedna wallet (top-ups and withdrawals via the supported payment methods). The platform charges one tiered fee per side on every completed sale, as published on the Fees page, which forms part of these Terms; fees are shown before any transaction completes and deducted automatically on completion. Setting a reserve price carries the non-refundable activation fee stated on that page. We may reverse or correct wallet credits made in error — including duplicate or mistaken top-up confirmations — and will notify you when we do.

5. Disputes

If something goes wrong with an order, either party can open a dispute from the order page. Funds stay in escrow until the Mazedna team resolves the dispute after reviewing evidence from both sides; that resolution is final within the Platform.

6. Prohibited conduct

Auction manipulation (shill bidding or collusion), fraud, completing deals off-platform to evade fees or escrow, abusive communication, and impersonation are prohibited. We may suspend or block any account that violates these rules.

7. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you post and grant us a license to display it on the Platform. You can report violating content; we review reports and remove content where appropriate.

8. Limitation of liability

Mazedna is a marketplace connecting sellers and buyers; we are not a party to the sale contract itself. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the total fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months.

9. KYC and anti-money-laundering

We may at any time ask you to verify or re-verify your identity, to explain the source of funds behind a top-up or a pattern of activity, and to provide supporting documents. While such a review is open we may delay or freeze withdrawals and other wallet movements connected to it. Where the law requires it, we will report activity to the competent Lebanese authorities. Refusing a reasonable verification request is grounds for suspension.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Lebanese law, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
